Mylan (MYL) Sued by Shareholder Over EpiPen Payments
October 11, 2016 12:12 PM EDTMylan (NASDAQ: MYL) shares are on watch after an investor sued the company over allegations that it made misstatements on payments made to government health-insurance programs with respect to its EpiPen product, according to Bloomberg.
The lawsuit was filed in Manhattan court Tuesday.
Shares of Mylan are down around 1 percent.

(Reuters) - Mylan NV (NASDAQ: MYL) on Friday said it will pay $465 million to settle questions of whether it underpaid U.S. government healthcare programs by misclassifying its EpiPen emergency allergy treatment, which has come under intense scrutiny after a series of drastic price increases.
Mylan has been lambasted by consumers and lawmakers for raising prices on the lifesaving EpiPen sixfold to over $600 for a package of two in less than a decade, making the devices unaffordable for a growing number of families.

(NASDAQ: MYL) today announced that its subsidiary, Mylan Inc., has agreed to the terms of a $465 million settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice ("DOJ") and other government agencies that will resolve questions that have been raised about the classification of EpiPen® Auto-Injector and EpiPen Jr® Auto-Injector (collectively, "EpiPen Auto-Injector") for purposes of the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program.
