September 27, 2016 6:45 AM EDTIndependence Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: IRT) announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of 25,000,000 shares of common stock. The Company expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 3,750,000 additional shares of common stock.
