Intel Appoints Bob Swan Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
September 19, 2016 4:01 PM EDTSANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Intel Corporation today announced the appointment of Robert Bob H. Swan as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), effective Oct. 10, 2016. Swan will report to Intel CEO Brian Krzanich and oversee Intels global finance and IT organizations, as well as the Corporate Strategy Office. He replaces Stacy Smith, who, as previously announced, is taking a broader role within Intel leading manufacturing, sales and operations. Smith served nine years as Intels CFO.

Intel Raises Third-Quarter Revenue Expectations
September 16, 2016 9:00 AM EDTSANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Intel Corporation today announced that third-quarter revenue is expected to be above the company's previous outlook. The company now expects third-quarter revenue to be $15.6 billion, plus or minus $300 million, as compared to the previous range of $14.9 billion, plus or minus $500 million. The increase in revenue is primarily driven by replenishment of PC supply chain inventory. The company is also seeing some signs of improving PC demand.
