Hooker Furniture Reports Fiscal First Half Results
September 8, 2016 8:03 AM EDTMARTINSVILLE, Va., Sept. 08, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hooker Furniture (NASDAQ: HOFT) today reported consolidated net sales of $136.2 million and net income of $5.3 million, or $0.46 per diluted share, for its fiscal 2017 second quarter ended July 31, 2016. Earnings per diluted share increased nearly 28% from $0.36 in the comparable prior year quarter. Â
For the fiscal 2017 first-half, consolidated net sales were $258 million, and net income was $7.8 million or $0.68 per diluted share. Earnings per diluted share decreased 1.4% from $0.69 in the comparable prior year first half.Â
