July 5, 2016 11:27 AM EDTOver the weekend, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) disclosed that it missed Q2 delivery and production targets. The company cited the extreme production ramp in Q2 and the high mix of customer-ordered vehicles still on trucks and ships at the end of the quarter for the miss.

Deutsche Bank Maintains 'Hold' Rating on Tesla (TSLA) Following Update on Q2 Deliveries
July 5, 2016 10:46 AM EDTDeutsche Bank maintained a Hold rating on Tesla Motors (NASDAQ: TSLA) with a price target of $290. This weekend, Tesla reported Q2 delivered of 14,370 vehicles, below its forecast of 17,000. Analyst Rod Lache said the miss underscores the company's ambitious targets.
"TSLA noted that half of the 18,345 vehicles produced during Q2 occurred during the last 4 weeks of the qtr, underscoring the steep production ramp-up that they experienced. Due to the steep ramp, there were more than 5,000 customer ordered vehicles in-transit at the end of the qtr (2,600 were in transit at the end of Q1).... More
