First Cash Financial Services (NASDAQ: FCFS) reported Q1 EPS of $0.47, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.44.

GUIDANCE:

First Cash Financial Services sees FY2016 EPS of $2.25-$2.45, versus prior guidance of $2.20-$2.40 and the consensus of $2.30.

First Cash Financial Services (FCFS), Cash America (CSH) Enter $2.4B Merger Agreement

First Cash Financial Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCFS) and Cash America International, Inc. (NYSE: CSH) announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which the two companies will combine in a tax free, all-stock transaction. The pro-forma market value of equity of the transaction is valued at approximately $2.4 billion, based on the current shares outstanding and the closing stock price on April 27, 2016 for both companies.
