Fifth Third Announces First Quarter 2016 Net Income to Common Shareholders of $312 Million, or $0.40 Per Diluted Share
April 21, 2016 6:30 AM EDT1Q16 net income available to common shareholders of $312 million, or $0.40 per diluted common share Includes a $47 million pre-tax (~$31 million after-tax) positive valuation adjustment on the remaining warrant in Vantiv, a $14 million pre-tax (~$9 million after-tax) expense related to the voluntary early retirement program, and an $8 million pre-tax (~$5 million after-tax) gain on the previously announced sale of certain branches in St. Louis.
