Union Bankshares Reports First Quarter Results
April 20, 2016 7:30 AM EDTRICHMOND, Va., April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Union Bankshares Corporation (the "Company" or "Union") (NASDAQ: UBSH) today reported net income of $17.0 million and earnings per share of $0.38 for its first quarter ended March 31, 2016. The quarterly results represent an increase of $1.3 million, or 8.0%, in net income from the first quarter of 2015 and a decrease of $853,000, or 4.8%, in net income from the prior quarter. Earnings per share of $0.38 for the current quarter represent an increase of $0.03, or 8.6%, in earnings per share from the first quarter of 2015 and a decrease of $0.02, or 5.0%, in earnings per share...
