AutoZone 2nd Quarter Same Store Sales Increase 3.6%; EPS Increases 14.2% to $7.43
March 1, 2016 6:59 AM ESTMEMPHIS, Tenn., March 01, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE: AZO) today reported net sales of $2.3 billion for its second quarter (12 weeks) ended February 13, 2016, an increase of 5.3% from the second quarter of fiscal 2015 (12 weeks). Â Domestic same store sales, or sales for stores open at least one year, increased 3.6% for the quarter.
Net income for the quarter increased 8.0% over the same period last year to $228.6 million, while diluted earnings per share increased 14.2% to $7.43 per share from $6.51 per share in the year-ago quarter.Â
