Qualcomm (QCOM) Looks Beyond the Smartphone During Latest Analyst Day; Cowen Trims PT to $60
February 12, 2016 7:46 AM ESTCowen and Company highlighted the key portions of Qualcomm's (Nasdaq: QCOM) analyst day, which was held on Thursday.
Analyst Tim Aruci noted that the key focus for Qualcomm during the event was how the company will move beyond the smartphone. Intel may still be an issue for Qualcomm on the chip side of things, while targets remained unchanged. The TDK acquisition will provide increased content for Qualcomm, while other new verticals could grow its SAM by 4x through 2020, the analyst said.

February 11, 2016 2:21 PM ESTQualcomm (NASDAQ: QCOM) says China and emerging market demand is strong, according to Bloomberg, citing commentary from company president Derek Aberle at an event today.
Aberle also believes outlooks for phone growth are too negative. He thinks China's smartphone market is "quite healthy."
Shares of Qualcomm are down 0.8 percent.
