Cincinnati Financial Reports Fourth-Quarter and Full-Year 2015 Results

Fourth-quarter 2015 net income of $156 million, or 94 cents per share, compared with $167 million, or $1.02 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2014. Full-year 2015 net income of $634 million, or $3.83 per share, up 21 percent from $525 million, or $3.18, in 2014. Operating income of $589 million, or $3.56 per share, up 34 percent from $440 million, or $2.66 per share. $11 million decrease in fourth-quarter 2015 net income reflected the after-tax net effect of two primary items:Â Â $45 million reduction in net realized investment gains that offset $28 million of improvement...
