Opus Bank Announces Third Quarter 2015 Results
October 26, 2015 7:00 AM EDTIRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Opus Bank (Opus) (NASDAQ: OPB) announced today net income of $14.7 million, or $0.44 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2015 compared to $17.5 million, or $0.52 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2015 and $7.7 million, or $0.23 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2014. The reduction in net income as compared to the second quarter of 2015 was mainly due to $6.7 million lower accretion income from the sale of acquired loans and $1.8 million higher provision expense for specific loan relationships and risk rating changes.
