September 23, 2015 11:42 AM UTCTD Securities maintained a Buy rating on Valeant Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: VRX) with a price target of $300. Analyst Lennox Gibbs called the market's reaction to proposals from presidential candidate Hillary Clinton premature and overdone.
Gibbs views plans to authorize Medicare to negotiate prices with drug manufacturers as the most noteworthy of Clinton's proposals, and he pointed out that Valeant derives an estimated 1520% of its revenues from Medicare.
