Culp Announces Results for First Quarter Fiscal 2016
September 2, 2015 4:05 PM EDTHIGH POINT, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Culp, Inc. (NYSE: CFI) today reported financial and operating results for the first quarter ended August 2, 2015.
Fiscal 2016 first quarter highlights:
Net sales were $80.2 million, up 5.4 percent, with mattress fabrics sales up 11.6 percent and upholstery fabrics sales down 2.6 percent. The first quarter of fiscal 2016 had 13 weeks compared with 14 weeks for the first quarter of fiscal 2015. Pre-tax income was $7.4 million, compared with $5.5 million for the prior year period.
