Dollar Tree sales miss as Family Dollar acquisition drags

(Reuters) - Discount retailer Dollar Tree Inc's (NASDAQ: DLTR) quarterly sales rose less than analysts had expected as it focused on integrating Family Dollar stores amid intense competition from mass retailers such as Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE: WMT).
Shares of the company, which also forecast current-quarter sales below Wall Street's estimates, fell as much as 8.6 percent to $69.68 in early trading on Tuesday.

September 1, 2015 9:30 AM EDTTrevena (NASDAQ: TRVN) 35.2% HIGHER; announced positive data from its randomized, double-blind, placebo- and active-controlled Phase 2b trial of TRV130 in moderate to severe acute postoperative pain after abdominoplasty surgery. The study achieved its primary endpoint of statistically greater pain reduction than placebo over 24 hours. In addition, TRV130 was superior to morphine in pre-specified secondary measures, exhibiting significantly reduced nausea, vomiting, and hypoventilation events.
Dollar Tree (DLTR) Misses Q2 EPS Views; Guides Q3, FY15 Revenue Below Expectations
