Mallinckrodt (MNK) Ratings Affirmed by Moody's Following Therakos Acquisition Announcement
August 11, 2015 12:09 PM EDTMoody's Investors Service affirmed the ratings of Mallinckrodt (NYSE: MNK) ("Mallinckrodt") including the Ba3 Corporate Family Rating and the Ba3-PD Probability of Default Rating. The rating action follows the announcement that Mallinckrodt will acquire Therakos, Inc. for $1.325 billion in cash. The outlook is stable.
Moody's will evaluate the impact, if any, on the instrument ratings when the final financing terms are announced.
Moody's affirmed the following ratings of Mallinckrodt International Finance S.A.:
Corporate Family Rating, at Ba3
Probability of Default Rating, at Ba3-PD

Mallinckrodt (MNK) to Acquire Therakos in $1.33B Deal
August 10, 2015 6:05 AM EDTMallinckrodt (NYSE: MNK) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement under which a subsidiary of Mallinckrodt will acquire Therakos, Inc. a leading immunotherapy company in a transaction valued at approximately $1.325 billion. Subject to customary closing conditions, the parties expect the transaction to be completed in the latter part of the third calendar quarter of 2015, Mallinckrodt's fourth fiscal quarter.
