2015 Second Quarter Highlights(1)
Economic income was $10.2 million or $0.09 per diluted share, compared to $8.5 million or $0.07 per diluted share in the second quarter 2014. GAAP net income attributable to common shareholders was $6.0 million or $0.05 per diluted common share compared to $8.4 million or $0.07 per diluted common share in the prior year period. NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cowen Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: COWN) (Cowen or the Company) and Conifer Securities, LLC (Conifer Securities) today announced the signing of a definitive agreement under which Cowen will acquire Conifer Securities, the prime services division of Conifer Financial Services LLC. The transaction, the terms of which have not yet been disclosed, was approved by the boards of directors of both companies. Cowen Group expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings in 2015.
