Intel (INTC) to Acquire Altera (ALTR) for $54/Share
June 1, 2015 8:32 AM EDTIntel (NASDAQ: INTC) and Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) announced a definitive agreement under which Intel would acquire Altera for $54 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $16.7 billion.
The acquisition will couple Intels leading-edge products and manufacturing process with Alteras leading field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology.
