Exicure, Inc. (NASDAQ: XCUR) received an extension from Nasdaq until December 2, 2026, to regain compliance with a minimum stockholders' equity requirement, according to a press release from the biotechnology company.
Nasdaq notified Exicure on June 5, 2026, that the company did not satisfy Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(b)(1), which requires listed companies to maintain at least $2.5 million in stockholders' equity. At that time, Exicure also did not meet alternative continued listing standards based on market value of listed securities or net income from continuing operations.
On September 10, 2026, Nasdaq's Listing Qualifications Department granted the company an extension, under which Exicure must complete its compliance initiatives and publicly demonstrate compliance with the stockholders' equity requirement by December 2, 2026. Nasdaq will continue to monitor the company's compliance, including through its next periodic report.
The extension does not constitute a determination that Exicure has regained compliance. If the company fails to satisfy the terms of the extension, Nasdaq may issue a written determination to delist Exicure's common stock, which the company would have the right to appeal to a Nasdaq Hearings Panel.
