Nominal strikes data platform deal with AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV)

Nominal, a test and operations data platform, announced a collaboration with AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV) to manage test and production data across the defense company's manufacturing operations, according to a press release dated Sept. 14, 2026.

AeroVironment's engineering and manufacturing teams have adopted Nominal's platform to consolidate test data capture, cross-team review, and traceability into a single system, spanning engineering tests through end-of-line manufacturing checks. The company produces uncrewed aircraft, loitering munitions, and counter-UAS systems across multiple programs and facilities.

"As we scale production across multiple programs and facilities, we need infrastructure that keeps pace without slowing our engineers down," said Scott Bowman, Chief Technology Officer at AeroVironment. "Nominal is giving our teams a shared, connected way to capture, review, and trust test and production data as volume increases and expectations are higher than ever."

Nominal's platform provides real-time capture of instrument and test data, browser-based storage and analysis, and a shared record connecting early research and development through full production scale.
