CROWN BREAKS GROUND ON THE COMPANY'S FIRST BEVERAGE CAN MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN INDIA

TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Crown Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) celebrated on September 9, 2026 the groundbreaking of its first beverage can manufacturing facility in India, marking a major milestone in the Company's expansion into one of the world's fastest-growing beverage markets. The ceremony brought together Crown leaders, local government representatives, customers and guests to commemorate the start of construction on the new facility in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh.

Announced in April 2026, the state-of-the-art plant will feature two production lines with an annual capacity of approximately 2.2 billion aluminum beverage cans. Operations are scheduled to commence in the second half of 2027.

The groundbreaking ceremony, which reflected local traditions and marked the official commencement of construction, underscored Crown's long-term commitment to India and the state of Uttar Pradesh. Following the event, Crown executives had the honor of meeting with the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, to discuss the progress of the Company's investment and its vision for supporting the continued growth of the beverage industry in India. During the meeting, Crown received the official land allotment letter for the project, representing another important milestone in the development of the Company's first beverage can manufacturing facility in the country.
