Fuel Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: FTEK) announced multiple air pollution control contracts totaling approximately $2.8 million from utility and industrial customers, according to a company press release.
One contract covers a urea reagent delivery system for a new U.S. utility customer expanding its power plant with natural gas-fired turbines and reciprocating engines. The system will support Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) equipment to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. Engineering work is set to begin immediately, with equipment delivery expected in the third quarter of 2027.
Two separate contracts were awarded for electrostatic precipitator (ESP) performance modeling services from new domestic and international customers. Both modeling contracts are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
A fourth contract was secured from a repeat domestic customer to demonstrate Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) technology on a waste incinerator unit. The demonstration is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026, with potential permanent equipment orders possible in the fourth quarter of 2026 if results are satisfactory.
Ramesh Nuggihalli, President and CEO, said the awards bring year-to-date announced bookings to $15 million and an effective backlog of $20 million. "We are continuing to actively pursue additional APC contracts that are likely to be awarded in the next 60-90 days," he said.
