Clearmind enrolls first AUD patients in CMND-100 trial

Clearmind Medicine Inc. (Nasdaq: CMND) has enrolled the first patients with Alcohol Use Disorder in its clinical trial evaluating CMND-100, a psychedelic-based treatment candidate, according to a company statement.

The first two patients were enrolled at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. Prior to this enrollment, CMND-100 had only been administered to healthy participants across multiple doses as part of the company's clinical development program.

The trial is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary efficacy of CMND-100 in patients with Alcohol Use Disorder.

"Our enrollment trajectory continues to build positively and treating the first Alcohol Use Disorder patients with CMND-100 represents a major step forward," said Adi Zuloff-Shani, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of Clearmind.

Clearmind describes CMND-100 as a non-hallucinogenic, psychedelic-derived compound. The Vancouver-based company holds an intellectual property portfolio consisting of 19 patent families, including 32 granted patents.
