Modine (NYSE: MOD) announced plans to rename itself Modexus Solutions following the completion of its spinoff of the Performance Technologies business and a merger with Gentherm, according to a press release issued Sept. 10, 2026.
The name change requires shareholder approval. Once effective, the company will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "MOD."
Gentherm shareholders approved the transaction at a special meeting held Sept. 10, 2026. The deal is expected to close Oct. 1, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Modine said it plans to call a special shareholder meeting to vote on the name change within three months of the transaction closing.
Neil D. Brinker will continue as chief executive officer and Michael (Mick) Lucareli will remain as chief financial officer of the combined company. The current board of directors will also stay in place.
"Modexus Solutions captures who we are: a company that combines deep thermal management expertise with the innovation and agility required to help customers solve increasingly complex challenges," Brinker said in the statement.
The company said Modexus Solutions will focus on markets including data center cooling, commercial HVAC, and refrigeration.
