ZenaTech gets Irish aviation approval for drone crop services

ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) (FSE: 49Q) (BMV: ZENA) announced it has received Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) authorization from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) for its drone subsidiary, ZenaDrone, to conduct aerial precision agriculture services in Ireland.

The authorization, granted under European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) guidelines, permits large-scale aerial application of fertilizer, lime, bio stimulants, and other non-plant protection products on Irish farmland, as well as granular spreading. ZenaDrone's operations are based at ZenaTech's EMEA Drone as a Service (DaaS) headquarters near Dublin.

Chief Executive Shaun Passley said the EASA framework, which applies across EU member states, provides "a replicable template to apply market by market rather than starting fresh," and that the company plans future expansion across Europe and into other regions.

Ireland's Environmental Protection Agency reported in 2026 that nitrogen concentrations in Irish rivers rose 10% year-over-year, citing excess fertilizer runoff as a leading cause, according to the press release.

The SORA authorization allows ZenaDrone to operate autonomous aerial missions without requiring customers to manage aviation safety regulations, pilot certification, or hardware costs directly. ZenaTech said it intends to offer the service as a recurring, subscription-based model across multiple geographies and industry verticals, including forestry, renewables, construction, and infrastructure monitoring.
