Lazard hires equity capital markets head for North America

Lazard, Inc. (NYSE: LAZ) has hired Daniel Burton-Morgan as a Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets Advisory, North America, within its Strategic Capital Solutions Group, based in New York, according to a press release.
The role is newly created and will focus on advising clients on equity capital markets strategy and execution, including initial public offerings, follow-on and secondary offerings, and block trades.
Burton-Morgan joins from Bank of America, where he most recently served as Head of Americas ECM Financial Sponsor Origination. He holds a First-Class degree in Management Science from the University of Warwick.
Tim Donahue, Global Head of Strategic Capital Solutions and Co-Head of Financial Advisory in North America at Lazard, said the firm has "long operated a robust ECM advisory franchise in Europe" and that Burton-Morgan's arrival "establishes the same capability across North America."
