Shoulder Innovations strikes exclusive deal with ALM Ortho for custom implants

Shoulder Innovations, Inc. (NYSE: SI) announced an exclusive collaboration with ALM Ortho, Inc. to develop patient-specific titanium shoulder implants for complex revision cases and severe shoulder deformity, according to a press release dated Sept. 9, 2026.

Under the agreement, Shoulder Innovations holds exclusive rights for upper extremity applications of ALM Ortho's solutions in the United States. ALM Ortho will design, manufacture, and deliver implants on a case-by-case basis using patient imaging data, while Shoulder Innovations will use its surgeon relationships and sales organization to identify cases and connect surgeons and facilities with the product.

Rob Ball, CEO of Shoulder Innovations, said the collaboration "bolsters our broader array of offerings to the shoulder surgical care market and importantly helps address a real unmet need for patients and surgeons facing these complex cases."

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
