New York Times Co. CHRO Jacqueline Welch to depart in January 2027

The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT) announced that Jacqueline Welch, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, will step down effective January 1, 2027.

Welch will be eligible to receive severance benefits under the company's Executive Severance Plan, contingent on her signing a general release of claims and complying with applicable restrictive covenants.

The company also stated that Welch has met the age and service requirements for "Retirement" classification under long-term performance awards granted through The New York Times Company 2020 Incentive Compensation Plan, making her eligible for payments under those awards.
