FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) has introduced Global Trade Navigator, a suite of digital tools aimed at helping businesses manage international shipping requirements, customs documentation, and cost estimation.
According to the 2026 FedEx Small Business Trade Index, 68% of small- and medium-sized businesses regularly see customers surprised by duties at delivery, while 60% report losing revenue through refunds or abandoned purchases.
The new suite includes five main components. A free Trade Planner tool on fedex.com allows users to look up Harmonized System codes, estimate duties and taxes, and receive document recommendations without requiring a login. Updated FedEx Ship Manager capabilities let customers review product classifications, customs values, and country of manufacture details. A new FedEx Duty and Tax app on Shopify enables merchants to display a duty and tax guarantee at checkout. Global Trade APIs, available through the FedEx Developer Portal, allow businesses to integrate trade data into existing workflows. Enhancements to the FedEx Import Tool and FedEx Reporting provide customs clearance activity tracking, payment management, and access to global import and export data.
"International shipping requires businesses to make complex decisions long before a package begins its journey," said Jason Brenner, senior vice president of digital portfolio at FedEx. "Building on decades of global trade expertise, Global Trade Navigator makes critical trade information and guidance more accessible to businesses as they grow internationally."
The tools are intended for businesses ranging from small companies new to international shipping to larger enterprises integrating trade data into established systems. FedEx reported annual revenue of $86 billion and employs more than 450,000 people worldwide.
