Sinclair, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced that the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 600, AFL-CIO has disclaimed interest in representing news photojournalists at its KOMO and KUNS stations in Seattle.
The National Labor Relations Board notified KOMO/KUNS on August 18, 2026 of the union's decision. The disclaimer followed an employee-initiated decertification petition and vote regarding continued IATSE representation. As a result, IATSE Local 600 will no longer serve as the bargaining representative for that group of employees.
According to a statement from Sinclair, the company said it remains committed to maintaining a direct relationship with its employees at the Seattle stations.
