Arthur J. Gallagher names new chief accounting officer for 2026

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE: AJG) announced that Richard C. Cary, its Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, plans to retire in 2028 and will step down from his current role effective September 30, 2026.

Cary, 63, has served as the company's Controller since 1997 and as Chief Accounting Officer since 2001. He will remain with the company as Corporate Vice President - Accounting to support the transition until his expected retirement. The company stated that his departure is not related to any disagreement over financial statements, internal controls, operations, policies, or practices.

Kyle G. Koreyva, 42, will succeed Cary as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, effective October 1, 2026. Koreyva joined Arthur J. Gallagher as part of the company's acquisition of AssuredPartners in August 2025, where he had served as Chief Accounting Officer since June 2024. Before AssuredPartners, he served as Vice President, Finance and Divisional Chief Financial Officer of Westchester, a division of Chubb, from April 2020 to June 2024. He spent the first 14 years of his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor, including three years in its national office.

The company said there are no changes to Koreyva's compensation arrangements in connection with the new role.
