Investing.com -- Apple will hold its next product launch event on September 9, according to a post by senior executive Greg Joswiak on X. The company is expected to reveal its latest iPhone lineup and possibly its first foldable phone at the event.
The potential introduction of a foldable iPhone represents a major milestone for Apple. Analysts predict these premium devices will drive higher selling prices and improved profit margins for the company.
The device would position Apple as a competitor to Samsung Electronics, which currently leads the specialized but expanding foldable smartphone market.
The September 9 event will be the first major product launch under new CEO John Ternus, who assumes the position on September 1. Tim Cook will move to the role of executive chairman as part of the leadership transition.
