Leidos wins $56M Navy behavioral health research contract

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has been awarded a $56 million contract by the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) to conduct behavioral health research and operational assessments for U.S. military personnel, according to a company press release.

The contract spans 66 months and covers research focused on identifying risks, protective measures, and interventions that affect the health and readiness of military personnel across the deployment cycle. Leidos will also develop evidence-based strategies aimed at improving resilience and reducing adverse outcomes.

Sarah McNichol, vice president of Behavioral Health & Readiness at Leidos Health, said, "This program reinforces the need for mission-critical health research in the military community. It is vitally important we work to improve warfighter readiness by studying the various psychological factors that can impact military populations."

The NHRC is one of eight laboratories within the Navy Medical Research & Development Enterprise, with a mandate to optimize the operational readiness and health of U.S. armed forces through behavioral health, epidemiology, readiness, and disease surveillance research.

Leidos is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and reported annual revenues of approximately $17.2 billion for the fiscal year ended January 2, 2026.
