Amarin Corporation (NASDAQ: AMRN) announced it will present five research abstracts at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026, scheduled for Aug. 28–31 in Munich, Germany.
The presentations, supported by Amarin and delivered by international academic collaborators, draw on data from the REDUCE-IT cardiovascular outcomes trial and related mechanistic research involving icosapent ethyl, also known as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).
Four moderated poster presentations are scheduled. Topics include treatment adherence and legacy effects of high-dose EPA in patients with hypertriglyceridemia and high cardiovascular risk; sex differences in early study discontinuation and drug withdrawal within REDUCE-IT; effects of icosapent ethyl on coagulation biomarkers and their association with event-free survival; and EPA's effect on oxidation of lipoprotein(a) and related changes in endothelial cell protein expression.
One oral presentation will address lipoprotein(a) variability in high cardiovascular risk patients with hypertriglyceridemia and controlled LDL cholesterol on statin therapy.
REDUCE-IT was a seven-year global cardiovascular outcomes study completed in 2018 that followed 8,179 patients across more than 400 clinical sites in 11 countries. Primary results were published in The New England Journal of Medicine in November 2018.
