Boeing (NYSE: BA) has appointed Ryan L. Shedd as Senior Vice President and Controller, with the role set to take effect following the company's filing of its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2026.
Shedd, 41, will join Boeing in September 2026 as Senior Vice President, Finance, before assuming the controller title after a transition period. He will also serve as the company's principal accounting officer.
Shedd succeeds Michael J. Cleary, who has held the Senior Vice President and Controller role since March 2023 and plans to retire from Boeing in 2027 after more than two decades with the company.
Shedd brings nearly two decades of experience at Ernst & Young LLP, where he most recently served as an Assurance Partner since July 2021.
Under the terms of his appointment, Shedd will receive an annual base salary of $600,000. He is eligible for an annual incentive award targeted at 70% of base salary and, beginning in 2027, a long-term incentive award targeted at 170% of base salary. He will also receive a one-time cash sign-on award of $300,000, subject to repayment conditions. Shedd will be based in Seattle, Washington.
The appointment was approved by Boeing's Board of Directors on August 19, 2026.
