Dermata opens preorders for Tome skincare product at $178

Dermata Therapeutics (NASDAQ: DRMA) announced that preorders are now open for its Tome Foundational Treatment, a once-weekly topical skin mask, with shipping expected to begin August 25, 2026.

The product retails for $178 per unit, which the company says equates to approximately $45 per treatment. Subscribers receive a 10% discount. Each purchase includes four once-weekly treatments, with each treatment containing a cup of the company's Bioneedle powder, a tube of Activator, and an application brush. Consumers mix the product before applying it as a mask.

The Tome Foundational Treatment is described by the company as its first direct-to-consumer skincare product and the first in a planned portfolio under the Tome brand. The Bioneedle ingredient is derived from Spongilla lacustris, a freshwater sponge.

Chief Executive Officer Gerry Proehl said the company has spent the past year preparing for commercialization, including building the brand, designing packaging, ordering supplies, and optimizing the supply chain.
