Lokahi Therapeutics renews University of Georgia academic program tie

Lōkahi Therapeutics, a subsidiary of Glucotrack, Inc. (NASDAQ: GCTK), announced the continued participation of the University of Georgia's Student Industry Fellows Program in its ai² Futures Lab, an academic collaboration aimed at identifying and evaluating pharmaceutical assets.

In its first year, the program engaged 64 students and identified more than 45 potential acquisition assets, several of which advanced into active pipeline discussions, according to a press release from the company.

"In our first year, the participating teams identified notable acquisition assets, with several opportunities advancing into active discussions," said Brian Peters, Senior Vice President of the ai² Division at Lōkahi Therapeutics.

The University of Georgia will continue engaging students in projects focused on therapeutic asset identification, evaluation, and strategic assessment. Work produced through the program is structured to generate business-focused recommendations that Lōkahi can review for further diligence, partnership consideration, licensing, or potential acquisition.

"Our continued participation reflects the strength of the experience and the value it creates for students seeking to understand how business strategy and healthcare innovation intersect," said Andrew H. Potter, Director of the Office of University Experiential Learning and Head of the Innovation District's Student Industry Fellows Program at the University of Georgia.

The ai² Futures Lab is described by the company as the execution layer of its broader ai² platform. New university participants generally begin with asset-identification projects and may expand into specialized business, clinical, technology, legal, or capital-focused tracks.
