VirTra wins $1.5M Army contract for firearms training in Tajikistan

VirTra, Inc. (Nasdaq: VTSI) has been awarded a $1.5 million sole-source contract by the U.S. Army to provide simulation-based firearms training equipment in Tajikistan, according to a press release from the company.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command–Orlando awarded the contract, under which VirTra will supply an integrated V-300 4K training system, including the simulation system, weapon recoil kits, supporting equipment, and related components. The system is intended to support the readiness of international partner forces in Tajikistan.

The contract was awarded on a sole-source basis, with the Army citing VirTra as the original equipment manufacturer and the only provider capable of delivering the proprietary hardware, software, and integrated support required for the program.

"This award represents continued momentum for VirTra within the military training community and reinforces the value of proven, reliable simulation solutions that meet demanding technical and performance requirements," said John Givens, CEO of VirTra.

The program is described as part of U.S. efforts to build partner capacity in Tajikistan in support of broader security cooperation objectives.
