U.S. refiners boost crude oil intake to highest level since 2019

Investing.com -- U.S. refiners increased their net crude oil input to approximately 17.4 million barrels per day during the week ending August 14, marking the highest level since September 2019, according to Energy Information Administration data released on Wednesday.

Gulf Coast refiners processed crude at the fastest rate in eight years last week, the data showed. Net crude input at Gulf Coast facilities averaged 9.62 million barrels per day, up from 9.59 million barrels per day in the previous week.
