OSI Systems wins $85M CBP contract for mobile X-ray systems

OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSIS) announced its Security division was awarded a five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with a ceiling of approximately $85 million to supply van-mounted, mobile Rapiscan X-ray inspection systems for baggage and parcel screening.

Under an initial task order valued at approximately $21 million, the company is expected to deliver mobile inspection systems and provide operator training.

Ajay Mehra, President and CEO of OSI Systems, said the contract "demonstrates our commitment to providing the latest technology for securing our borders and the strength of our mobile inspection portfolio."
