OSI Systems wins $200M CBP contract for vehicle inspection systems

OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: OSIS) announced that its Security division has been awarded a five-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with a ceiling value of approximately $200 million.

The contract covers the supply of relocatable Rapiscan® passenger vehicle inspection systems, along with an initial task order for the first systems, associated service, and training.

Ajay Mehra, President and CEO of OSI Systems, said in a statement: "This award allows for our continuing support to CBP by providing one of our most advanced vehicle screening systems. Rapiscan's relocatable inspection system provides operators the flexibility to shift resources as their requirements evolve, and we are proud to support CBP in strengthening our nation's borders and the protection of our critical infrastructure."

OSI Systems, headquartered in Hawthorne, California, designs and manufactures specialized electronic systems across three segments: Security, Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, and Healthcare.
