KBR (NYSE: KBR) has been awarded a NATO recompete time and materials contract with an initial ceiling of $60 million to support the PATRIOT air and missile defense system and its integration with the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS), according to a company press release.
The five-year contract, awarded through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), will be performed by KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business. Work will take place at Redstone Arsenal and KBR offices in Huntsville, Alabama, as well as Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, with additional locations worldwide.
Under the contract, KBR will provide command-and-control capabilities intended to connect sensors across the battlespace, with an emphasis on sustainment, integration timelines, and operational readiness across multiple combatant commands.
"Integrated air and missile defense demands technical precision and speed of execution," said Jay Lennon, President of Mission Technology Solutions. "This award reflects KBR's ability to reliably deliver both at scale, and it demonstrates the value customers place on KBR to execute at the pace of today's threat environment."
KBR's Mission Technology Solutions business is planned to be spun off as an independent public company in January 2027 under the name Trinzic. The company states the new entity will launch with more than $5 billion in annual revenue, approximately 18,000 employees, and an existing portfolio of contracts and partnerships.
