First Financial Bankshares renews share buyback plan, raises limit to 7.2M shares

First Financial Bankshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIN) has renewed its share repurchase plan and increased the authorized buyback amount to 7,200,000 shares of common stock, up from a prior authorization of 5,000,000 shares.
The renewed plan, which runs through July 31, 2027, allows the company to repurchase shares representing approximately 5% of its outstanding shares as of July 28, 2026. The previous plan had authorized repurchases through July 31, 2026.
Under the plan, management may repurchase shares through open market transactions, block trades, or privately negotiated transactions. No minimum number of shares is required to be repurchased.
David Bailey, President and CEO of First Financial Bankshares, said the plan "serves the best interests of our shareholders by allowing us to repurchase shares when we believe they are attractively priced." He added that "the renewal of this plan reflects our board's confidence in the Company's outlook."
Headquartered in Abilene, Texas, First Financial Bankshares operates 79 banking locations across Texas through its subsidiary, First Financial Bank.
