TPG in talks to buy Netrality Data Centers for up to $3 billion - Bloomberg
Investing.com -- TPG Inc. is in exclusive discussions to acquire Netrality Data Centers from Macquarie Group Ltd., according to reporting from Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter. The potential deal values the data center operator at between $2 billion and $3 billion.
A transaction could be finalized as soon as this fall, one of the people said. Discussions remain ongoing and a final agreement is not guaranteed, the people added.
Netrality owns and operates interconnection data centers and Meet Me Rooms across North America. The company provides colocation, powered shell, and wholesale data center solutions.
The company currently operates 18 properties spanning 3.3 million square feet with over 100 megawatts of capacity. Netrality is backed by Macquarie Asset Management.
Netrality describes itself as the largest privately held owner-operator of core interconnection facilities in the United States. The company focuses on acquiring strategically located network interconnection data centers that serve latency-sensitive businesses.
