Assurant names Kelli Ertel chief communications officer and chief of staff

Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ) has appointed Kelli Ertel to the expanded role of Chief Communications Officer and Chief of Staff, effective immediately, according to a company statement.

In her new position, Ertel will join Assurant's Management Committee and oversee global communications, brand strategy, and the events team. She will continue to serve as Chief of Staff to President and Chief Executive Officer Keith Demmings.

Ertel has held multiple leadership roles at Assurant across various areas of the company. Her expanded responsibilities include leading the company's Communications and Brand functions and supporting stakeholder engagement.

Demmings commented on the appointment: "Kelli has been an invaluable partner to me and our leadership team, helping drive alignment and execution across the organization. Her leadership, judgment, and ability to bring people together make her exceptionally well positioned to lead these efforts."
