Trust Stamp files patent for AI medical diagnosis system

Trust Stamp (Nasdaq: IDAI) filed a provisional patent application on June 15, 2026, for a large language model-based system designed for use in medical diagnosis, according to a company statement.

The application, U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 64/091,057, covers a technology called the Medical Diagnostic Assurance System (MDAS). The filing brings the company's total patent portfolio to 27 issued or allowed patents and eight pending applications.

MDAS is designed to address issues associated with LLM use in medical contexts, including confirmation bias amplification, hallucinations, and sycophantic behavior. The system uses a three-model consensus approach and conducts its research without access to the original diagnosis provided by a medical practitioner, according to the company.

The system is described as a self-contained sovereign system that tokenizes patient identities to limit third-party access to patient records. It is intended for use only by qualified medical practitioners and does not provide a primary diagnosis.

Chief Executive Officer Gareth N. Genner stated that the company is currently negotiating a pilot program for MDAS and aims to have the technology operational in the first quarter of 2027.
