Odeon's Dick Bove says the Fed is Likely to Raise Rates Next Week
- "It is highly likely that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next week. "
The analyst comments "It is highly likely that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next week. I would estimate by 25 or even 50 basis points. This will be much better for markets than avoiding a rate increase. The reason is clear. If the Fed fails to raise rates, it will be signaling that: There is a crisis in banking and, It is not serious about inflation. This would be a big mistake and I do not think the Fed wants to make yet another one."
