Urban Outfitters (URBN) Tops Q2 EPS by 75c

Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ: URBN) reported Q2 EPS of $0.35, $0.75 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.40). Revenue for the quarter came in at $803 million versus the consensus estimate of $672.63 million.

Comparable Retail segment net sales decreased 13%, driven by negative retail store sales due to stores being closed for part of the quarter and lower store productivity once opened, partially offset by strong double-digit growth in the digital channel.
