Dover Corp. (NYSE: DOV) reported Q2 EPS of $1.30, $0.09 better than the analyst estimate of $1.21. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.78 billion.
Dover tightened its guidance for adjusted diluted earnings per share from continuing operations to $4.75 to $4.85, representing an increase of approximately 16% over the prior year, on a comparable basis. This guidance is based on full year revenue growth of 2% to 3%, which is comprised of organic growth of 3% to 4%, acquisition growth of 1%, and a favorable impact from FX of 1%, partially offset by a 3% impact from dispositions. The consensus was $4.79.
