Veeco Instruments (NASDAQ: VECO) reported Q1 EPS of $0.20, $0.14 better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter came in at $158 million versus the consensus estimate of $151.17 million.

• GAAP net loss of $15.8 million, or $0.34 loss per share
• Non-GAAP net income of $9.2 million, or $0.20 per diluted share
